So it begins.

Structured-Query-Language can sound really intimidating but it really isn't. It is a language and I speak it well.
Excel is a beast on a level all it's own. Like almost any creature it can be tamed as long as you respect what it is capable of.
As a veteran I understand the pressures, difficulty, and benefits of maintaining a professional mentality no matter the circumstances.
The importance of this skill can't be understated when it can be the only thing that brings the brother or sister next to you back to their loved ones.
If you recognize the name GitHub then you know it is more than a storage site but a collaborative one. I understand both.
Deomonstrated understanding and practice of data analysis including data gathering, analysis and visual presentation.
I am veteran of the US Army deployed to Iraq with a specialty of (68W) Medical specialist. I learned a very quickly a lot of skills and how important they were. Since leaving the time in the military I have continued to work professionally in the healthcare industry. I took the values and principles instilled into me by the military into my professional mindset. I believe that data can be a powerful tool but should be respected as much as any other technology. I have spent my professional career in service of the public and protecting their health and welfare and would like to continue this in a more impactful way going forward.

I have done the coursework, passed the tests, played with the toys, and realized I have been developing skills very important to data analytics the whole time.
Life comes at you fast from all directions. Sometimes the best you can do is just grin and say bring it because if one more person says pull myself up by my bootstraps I am going to snap.
When all the books have been hit and all excuses exhausted I begin my first case study for my portfolio. Inside is a small peak into my process and project.
