Did you ever watch "Space Balls"? Mel Brooks is a genius btw. In a way you are living the instant casset scene. We are at now but how the heck did we get here? How about we catch you up...

I have spent the past 14 weeks doing all the boring stuff. Studying the material in Coursera and weekly meetings with my fellow learners in the data analytics program at Merit America. I wouldn't say it was hard work considering I have some embarrasing experience programming.

What was difficult was figuring out that I was suffering from massive burn out. I lost a lot of days to just being lost. I knew that I couldn't keep going 11 hours a day away from home and my family and this was a huge step in that direction but some days I just couldn't even stand looking at my computer (I built her myself and she is a beauty if I do say).

As difficult as it was to get going the more I dug in the more I enjoyed it. It also gave me a reason to dust off my web dev skills to get this blog and my portfolio site up and running. That brings us to now.

In order to finish off my certification through Coursera and continue on in the next phase in the Merit America boot camp a portfolio project has to be completed. I plan to document the case study here as I progress to completion along with life as a father to a teenage vampire (Try waking him up while the sun is out and you will see what I mean).
